We're always taking photos. They record the garden at a moment in time.
This evergreen ground cover is a great plant for small spaces in shade to part shade. As you can see, the leaves are shiny and round.
A lovely daylily all one color!
A dark red Daylily with a contrasting throat.
This daylily is our oldest, possibly planted before 1978. It's fragrant and performs very well. Individual plants have been moved to three different areas of the garden so they could be planted in sunny areas.
Daylily has lovely soft colors with a green throat.
This is not the real name of this daylily but I' ve lost its name. I know I bought it at McLeans Nurseries, so that's how I will call it. It certainly is lovely!
This is a tough plant. Daylilies don't like competition from other plants growing around their roots. If there is too much competition, the daylilies will get smaller and eventually disappear. Many of the other daylilies growing with this 'Tijuana' disappeared from the groundcover competition - a lesson well learned by me.
